terms of use

Effective date: 11 May 2026
Websites: deadsimple.xyz, big-blind.xyz, askthecrowd.xyz, hello-hello.xyz, zenplants.rs

These Terms govern your use of the Websites and the products and services we currently offer. By using the Websites or any product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1) Accounts & eligibility

You may need an account to purchase a license or use certain features. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Minimum age: 16 (or higher where required by your local law). If you are under the age allowed to consent, you must have parental / guardian permission. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

2) Products

We currently sell the following downloadable software products for macOS:

  • PowerMic — a virtual audio device that lets you apply VST plugins and macOS Audio Units to your microphone before other apps receive the signal. Audio processing happens locally on your Mac; we don't receive your microphone audio.
  • RemoteCam — sends a camera from one Mac to another Mac as a virtual webcam over your local network (NDI). Video streams stay on your local network; we don't receive or relay them.

Each product is sold as a one-time perpetual license for an individual user, with a 14-day free trial. Prices vary by region (Paddle applies localized pricing based on your billing country and currency); the price you see at checkout, in your local currency, is the price you pay. Paddle (see section 3) shows and collects any applicable taxes. Delivery is digital: the Mac app installer is downloadable from the product page, and a license token is issued to your account upon successful payment. Activation is automatic when you sign in to the app with the same account used at purchase.

Updates and bug fixes are provided at our discretion for as long as the product remains in our active catalog. We may discontinue a product with reasonable notice; previously sold licenses remain valid for the version you installed.

3) Billing, taxes & merchant of record

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. acting as merchant of record for our products. Paddle calculates and collects applicable taxes (e.g. VAT, sales tax) and issues receipts / tax invoices under its own terms and policies. We do not store full card details; payment is handled by certified providers. If we offer subscriptions in the future, they will renew automatically each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

4) Cancellations & refunds

For one-time license purchases, the 14-day free trial lets you evaluate the product before paying. If you change your mind after paying, you may request a refund within 14 days of the transaction date — this covers the EU/EEA, UK, and Serbian statutory cooling-off right and applies more broadly as our standard policy. Refunds are processed through Paddle in line with their buyer terms. For subscriptions (when offered), access continues until the end of the current paid period; the 14-day cooling-off applies to the initial purchase or a renewal under the same conditions. To request a refund, use the Paddle order / support link in your receipt or email [email protected].

5) License grant & acceptable use

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the product on devices you own or control, for personal or internal business use. You may not: (a) violate laws; (b) resell, sublicense, or redistribute the product or its license tokens; (c) reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass technical limits, except to the extent expressly permitted by law; (d) introduce malware; (e) use the product to harass others; (f) attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data. Abuse may result in license revocation without refund.

6) Intellectual property

You retain rights in your content. Where the product handles your content locally (audio, video, settings), nothing in these Terms grants us any rights over it. All software, designs, databases, texts, brand assets, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. No rights are granted except a limited right to access and use the service as intended.

7) Third-party services

The purchase flow integrates Paddle (payments), Auth0 (authentication), and the social login providers you choose (Apple, Google). Each is a separate controller / provider with its own terms and policies; we are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

8) Availability, changes & beta features

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation. Maintenance may occur with or without notice. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features; material changes will be communicated where reasonable. Beta features are provided "as is", without warranties.

9) Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Websites and products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the amount you paid to us for the relevant product in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law (including statutory consumer rights).

10) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, security risks, non-payment, or legal requirements. You may stop using the Websites or product at any time. Sections that by nature should survive (IP, privacy, liability, etc.) will survive termination.

11) Governing law & venue

Serbian law governs these Terms (without regard to conflict-of-laws rules). Courts in Belgrade have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer law. The governing language is English.

12) Changes to these Terms

We will post updates with the effective date on deadsimple.xyz. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g. email or in-product). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
